Ecological Farming in Punjab: Issues, Strategies and Way forward

KVM preaches to adopt famous verses of Guru Granth Sahib in farming practices: “Pavnu Guru, Panni Pita Matta Dharat Mahat”, Air is Guru, Water is father and Earth is mother.  A book on traditional foods based particularly on millets. The book was compiled based on a two month long documentation done in different villages of Punjab. The documentation included interviewing older women in villages to enquire about the variety of dishes prepared in the past, their perceptions about complete meals; nutritive, tasty and containing medicinal properties, some of which have already vanished and other are on the verge of vanishing from our kitchens.
